Canterbury Bell Seed Blue & White Mix

Campanula Blue

Canterbury Bells (Campanula Medium ) are old-fashioned garden favorites. This mix features bell-shaped flowers in blue and white held upright in long loose clusters. Great garden color in late spring and early summer. These beauties also make great cut flowers. Canterbury Bells grow easily from flower seed and are best for the sunny areas of the garden. The Canterbury Bells are one of my favorites and have rich color. Plant them in a cluster or mix them. Canterbury Bells were some of the first imported flowers grown in colonial American gardens and they date back to medieval times. They are valued for their showy 3′ stalks. If you want to enjoy the flowering period of this variety longer keep the spent flowers deadheaded to prolong their bloom time. Stake plants before the flowers open to keep stems upright. Cut flowers after one or two flowers have opened. The flowers will last in a vase up to 8 days or more when floral preservatives are added to the water. 50 seed
