Showy, dark cone-shaped center with purple petals identifies this popular “Prairie Wildflower.”
Days to Germination: approx 10 – 12 and Days to Bloom: about 60 – 90.
30 – 42 inches.
Prefers Full Sun.

Plant after all danger of frost, sow in open ground well exposed. Cover with 1/4 inch soil. For earlier bloom, start indoors in flats about 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. When plants are 2 inches high, thin or transplant.

Dramatic background plant for border, perennial, wildflower or rock gardens. Long-lasting cut flower.
