This annual "ice plant" forms a colorful carpet of flowers even in poor, dry soil. Plants are trailing with fleshy, bright green leaves. Flowers of pink, white, yellow, magenta and salmon are 2 inches across and daisy-like. Blooms spring through late summer.
Days to Sprout 14 - 21,
Plant seeds outdoors after the last frost in well-drained - even sandy - soil enrichedcompost. (Seeds may be started indoors 10 to 12 weeks earlier.) Sow seeds, cover lightly with soil and keep moist until seedlings are established.
Established plants thrive in dry soil with minimal watering.
