Foxglove "Digitalis"
Among the most showy of garden plants. They make wonderful cut flowers. They grow in either sun or partial shade which makes them ideal for woodland gardens. Are excellent for the back of borders or mass plantings. Tolerate cold winters but are killed by heat and drought. Will self-sow in mild climates and perpetuate themselves for years. Grow in rich, fertile soil.
Digitale Multicolor Foxglove Biannual, acts like a perennial. 150 days. Germinates in 14-21 days with 65-70 degree soil temperature. Start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost. Do not bury seeds since foxglove needs light to germinate. Transplant outside after danger of frost is over at 12 inch spacing. . Prefers full sun/part shade. 36-40 inches high. Self seeds
