Candy Stripe Cosmos

Botanical Interests Annual White w/rose strips and markings that Blooms Summer to fall in Full Sun to a height of 3'-5' tall, 1.5'-3' wide and Attracts Butterflies. A very unique Cosmos! White background color with rose strips & markings will create quite a show in the garden. Each flower is unique and color will vary from flower to flower. Candy Stripe is a great drought tolerant cut flower that will attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Average garden soils are OK. Soils too fertile and to rich in organic material can result in too much foliage and too few flowers. Do not overwater. Sowing: OUTSIDE: Spring after average last day of frost is best. INSIDE: 4-6 weeks before last frost.

Cosmos Sea Shells Blend

A very unique Cosmos with rolled petals looking a bit like a sea shell. Yellow button eye. Great cut flower. Annual mix White, pink, rose,and crimson tubular petals Blooms Summer to fall and likes Full Sun. 3'-5' tall, 1.5'-3' wide, Attracts Butterflies. The fluted sea shell shape of the petals would be a beautiful addition to any Cosmos patch. Typical of all Cosmos this variety is no exception in thriving under neglect situations. It is a great background plant for shorter flowers and shrubs, plus is a great cut flower. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Average garden soils are OK. Soils too fertile and to rich in organic material can result in too much foliage and too few flowers. Do not overwater. Cosmos "Bipinnatus Mixture"
Easy-to-grow favorite. Early blooming, vigorous, strong-stemmed. Developed especially for cutting. Produces under short days. Suitable for greenhouse culture during winter. Strong stems can withstand considerable handling. Prefers sun and sandy soil. Ht. 40". Single flowers, 3-4" across, mixed colors, perrenial. Half Hardy Annual. Ideal for exposed gardens, borders or cut flowers. Easy to grow. Days to Germination 5 - 14, Grows Best in Full Sun. Sow the seed in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse (4-6 weeks before the planting out date) at approximately 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit using a good quality, moist compost. Cover the seeds with 1/4 inch sieved compost. Transplant seedlings into trays and grow on. Harden plants gradually before planting out 15 inches apart in an open, sunny location. Alternatively, sow direct into garden soil for late summer flowering. HELPFUL HINT Lovely and long lasting as a cut flower.
